Repair: 2 bedroom doors that would not close due to misalignment of the frame and doors over time.

Our recent experience with Jonah at Szent-Ivany and Sons was very positive. After reaching out about a repair we were looking to have done to our house, Jonah quickly responded with his recommendation on how to proceed and offered various times to drop by that worked around our schedule.

On the day of the repair, he showed up on time, completed the repair in a short amount of time, and cleaned up the space before leaving. The repair ended up being successful with the doors now properly aligned, allowing for them to open and close smoothly.

The service we received was very professional and courteous, with an attention to detail. Would definitely hire them again for any future home improvement projects. Thank you again!

We are absolutely thrilled with our new basement! Szent-Ivany & Sons turned our dark, dingy space into a beautiful, functional living area. Special love to the bar area! The team was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful throughout the entire process.
They arrived on time, kept the work area clean and tidy, and completed the project within the predicted timeframe and on budget. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is outstanding—our basement now feels like an extension of the upstairs rather than just a 'basement.'
A special shoutout to Luke, Jonah and team for the great communication and professionalism. We highly recommend Szent-Ivany & Sons for high-quality renovations!

We recently had our ensuite bathroom renovated by the Szent-Ivanyi team and couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, they were professional, efficient, and clearly take pride in their work.

What really stood out was how quickly they completed the project without compromising on quality — everything was done with great attention to detail. They also kept the space incredibly clean throughout the process, which made a big difference day-to-day.

On top of that, they were just a great group of guys to work with — friendly, respectful, and easy to communicate with. We will definitely use them again on future projects and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality renovation work. We’re so happy with how everything turned out!

I converted my unfinished basement to a 2 bed 1 bath apartment with the help from Szent - Ivany and Sons.
I got quotes from multiple companies and selected Szent - Ivany and Sons because of the level of details they included in the quote as well as clear and straightforward communication.
Communication is important in any project but it was critical for me as I was not on the site.

As for the price, they were not the cheapest and they were not the most expensive either. I thought the pricing was about right.

Since the build was done in compliance with all city and other codes, there were multiple challenges along the way including adding extra firewalls, reorient furnace, etc. They were super flexible with all the changes that were required by city inspectors as well as my own asks to change things along the way. They handled requesting all permits and coordinating with inspectors for inspections.

They say they consider all projects as working on their own properties and I believe this is quite true. They suggested multiple improvements along the way to improve functionality, cut cost, improve aesthetics, and maximize space, most of which I approved, which drastically improved the final product.

I am glad that I selected Szent - Ivany and Sons for the project and would not hesitate to get their services for any future projects or recommend them for anyone looking to complete any construction project.

As a former employee of four years with Szent-Ivany and Sons, I can say from personal experience that every job is completed to the highest standards even if it means taking time out of their personal lives to achieve those results. The company consistently puts clients first, ensuring they are satisfied with all work performed. There have been times when a client requested finishing touches or adjustments, and the Szent-Ivanys returned without hesitation to make sure the client was happy. Overall, during my time working with Szent-Ivany and Sons, I saw firsthand the dedication, hard work, and care they put into the company, as well as their commitment to ensuring every client is completely satisfied.

The Szent-Ivany crew is amazing! They were punctual and immediately got to work on pairing a very large house. Their attention to detail showed in every room and the finished result looks fantastic! They kept spaces clean throughout the project and left things spotless upon completion. They were courteous, professional and always available whenever I had a question. Also they were helpful with decisions that made the final product even better. I would gladly hire them again and recommend them without hesitation.
